Shane Spears – Owner/Instructor

Coach Spears comes to the Upstate from his hometown of St. Petersburg, Fl. He attended Furman University and then later transferred to the University of Florida where he pitched and played outfield. In 1998, he was the hitting coach at Presbyterian College.  Coach Spears has been giving lessons since 1998.

  1. Shane, I wanted to let you know that Jason hit his first homerun last night in the Woodmont Wildcats game…a two run homer. He also had an RBI in that game. So he accounted for 3 runs in the 4-1 win over Greenwood. He is hitting in the three spot and playing 3rd base. He also slides over to Short when the short stop pitches. Thanks for all your work with him over the winter with his hitting lessons. The subtle tweaks in his swing are starting to take hold and enhance his results. Proud Papa… Tom 3/30/2015
